PorSoleá® was born through the union of a man from San Sebastián and a woman from Malaga who met while traveling around the world and where Andalusia becomes, in addition to the place where they end up living with their family, their passion and the center of their lives.
THE FLAMENCO
The name “por Soleá” comes from flamenco, which is a Spanish style of music and dance that originated in Andalusia in the 18th century. Flamenco dancing can accompany different “palos” (traditional varieties of flamenco singing).
One of the main songs and the one that is considered the mother of flamenco styles is the soleá or soleares. Traditionally, their dance was performed by women due to the brilliance of the dancer, who can make typically feminine movements with her arms and body, accompanied by zapateados. Currently, the singing and dancing “por Soleá” is one of the most considered and performed by Spanish flamenco artists.
